The Chaos faction is home to all sorts of terrifying beasts, but have the potential power of Kholek Suneater, one of three Legendary Lords for the most evil army available in Total War: Warhammer. This enormous half-ogre, half-dragon is a melee master, able to soak up damage and wipe out entire retinues of opponents. He’s a morale-breaking, nigh unkillable creature — or he can be, if you follow this set of skill tree selections.
Early adopters get the Chaos Faction for free on the first week, but the rest of us will have to purchase the army as separate DLC not included with the base game. Kholek Suneater Chaos Lord | Overpowered Build Guide
At the start of your Chaos Faction campaign, you’ll have the option to choose one of three Legendary Lords. All three are good choices at any difficulty level, but if you want to survive the campaign on Legendary you’ll want to remove magic from the equation. Magic’s effectiveness changes every turn, and the RNG can help or hinder you depending on how your Winds of Magic rolls play out.
Kholek Suneater is a powerhouse melee monster. With the right skills, he can wade into the center of a battle and hold the line while your cavalry and flankers mop up the bloody remnants.
How to Farm XP and Level-Up Kholek Early:
It can take time earning the skills listed in the section below. Before you start unlocking abilities and getting levels, check out this easy strategy that makes gaining levels easy and relatively safe even on Legendary.
- Start the campaign by sacking the closest camp.
- Awaken the Tribe and continue your march toward Frozen Landing.
- Encamp outside Frozen Landing.
- Sack Frozen Landing.
- Repeat Step 4 and sent Kholek into the frontlines every time to ensure he levels up.
- Continue to sack Frozen Landing until it becomes impossible.
While you’re sacking Frozen Landing over and over, try to unlock the Dragon Ogres unit, even if it means skipping other types. Kholek, being a Dragon Ogre, needs some extra friends to make combat easier.

After that, upgrade any skills associated with defense to make him truly unstoppable. Now your Kholek is fit to be a Chaos God.
